INFORMATION FOR PARTICIPATING DIRECTORS
ARRIVAL & CHECK-IN All directors will receive a welcome packet including schedule, and event map.
AUDITORIUM INFORMATION General info - the Lawrence E. Griffin Performing Arts Center at Newark High School seats 1,034 audience members. The stage is large with enough space for all performing ensembles.
CHOIRS - 7 sets of Wenger 4-row fold-down risers will be setup for the duration of the event. Our grand piano will be placed directly in front of the group with the top closed. We will have a Wenger shell behind the risers to help ensure sound is projected to the audience and adjudicators.
BANDS - The percussion above will available for all performing groups, your own implements are required as none are provided. The back wall of the stage will have the curtain drawn closed to help dampen the projection of percussion from the stage. If you would like this open for your group, please feel free to do so.
IF YOU ARE BRINGING YOUR OWN PERCUSSION - please contact Lee Auer before doing so, there are several doors that need "unbarred" and unlocked to ensure smooth arrival, setup, and departure. ADJUDICATORS Band - Christopher Brandenburg, James Dowdy, Donald Jenkins, Phillip Louden (SR) Choir - Curtis King, Elizabeth Hainrihar, Joshua Dufford, Karen Beleny (SR) VENUE MAP
